My name’s Miguel. I’m an Illustrator/Designer by day, and a full-time dad/personal chef to my kids by night. I am a first-generation Mexican American raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I like to think of illustration kinda like cooking. My work is all about the flavor, baby. I pull much of my inspiration from my roots — the colors, textures, and everyday sazon of Mexican culture. From mundane mercado signage and hand-painted taco truck menus down to my mom’s embroidered kitchen towels, it’s all in the details.

My art means so much to me because I pull from my upbringing, my community, and my culture to add a little of me in each work I make.
